Fault issues and solutions for abnormal output signals of Rosemount transmitters.
In the daily production process, we may encounter issues with the output signal of the Rosemount transmitter. For example, when we apply pressure to the Rosemount transmitter, the output does not change; then, when we apply more pressure, the output suddenly changes, and during depressurization, the zero point of the Rosemount transmitter cannot return. This is actually a relatively common fault phenomenon. So why do these problems occur? Today, the technical editor from Shaanxi Huibo Electromechanical will explain the issues related to abnormal output signals of the Rosemount transmitter and their solutions.

In the daily production process, we may encounter issues with the output signal of the Rosemount transmitter. For example, when pressurizing the Rosemount transmitter, the output does not change, and then when further pressurized, the output suddenly changes. During depressurization, the zero point of the Rosemount transmitter cannot return. This is actually a relatively common fault phenomenon. So why do these problems occur? Today, the technical editor from Shaanxi Huibo Electromechanical will explain the abnormal output signal issues of the Rosemount transmitter and their solutions.
When the output signal of the Rosemount transmitter has issues, the following possible reasons should be considered:
First, the instrument or other pressure sensors may have weak interference capabilities due to certain reasons.
Second, the sensor itself may be vibrating excessively due to environmental influences.
Third, there may be certain faults in the sensor of the Rosemount transmitter.
Fourth, the wiring of the sensor in the Rosemount transmitter may not be secure, leading to poor contact.
Fifth, the pressure source of the Rosemount transmitter may be an unstable pressure.
At this point, we can also check the sealing ring of the Rosemount transmitter's sensor. Sometimes, due to the sealing ring being too soft or too thick, when the sensor is tightened, the sealing ring gets compressed into the sensor's pressure port, causing a blockage. At this time, when pressurized, the pressure medium cannot enter, but when the pressure is very high, it may suddenly burst the sealing ring. At this point, the pressure of the Rosemount transmitter changes due to the pressure, and when the pressure decreases again, the sealing ring returns to block the pressure port, causing the residual pressure to be unable to release, thus the sensor's zero point cannot drop. The method to eliminate this cause is to remove the sensor from the Rosemount transmitter to check if the zero point is normal. If it is normal, replace the sealing ring and try again.
