What requirements need to be met when installing guided wave radar and capacitive level gauges?
As a specialized instrument for measuring liquid levels, level gauges are also a common type of field instrument in our factory. They mainly measure the height of liquid media in containers, which makes them very popular in the market. In field conditions, we can see various types of level gauges, such as tuning fork vibration type, magnetic float type, pressure type, ultrasonic, sonar, magnetic flap, radar, etc. Since level gauges measure the height of liquid levels in containers, their installation can be somewhat challenging, and there are specific installation requirements. Today, the technical editor from Shaanxi Huibo Electromechanical will introduce the requirements that need to be met when installing guided wave radar and capacitive level gauges.

The installation of guided wave radar and capacitive level gauges should meet the following requirements:
1. The level gauge should be installed at the top of the storage tank to avoid contact with movable parts inside the equipment; when the medium inside the equipment fluctuates violently, a perforated protective tube should be fixed to the guided wave rod (probe).
2. When the level gauge is installed on the external connecting pipe of the equipment, it should comply with the following provisions:
a) The length of the guided wave rod (probe) should include the upper and lower measurement dead zones, and its end should be at least 50mm below the center of the lower connection of the connecting pipe;
b) When using a dual rod probe guided wave radar level gauge, the diameter of the connecting pipe should not be less than 80mm; when using a single rod probe guided wave radar level gauge, the diameter of the connecting pipe should not be less than 50mm.
3. When measuring high liquid levels with a cable probe guided wave radar level gauge, the cable probe should be straightened and fixed at the bottom of the equipment, and in cases of severe liquid surface fluctuations, a perforated protective tube should be fixed.
4. When the temperature of the measured medium is high, it is advisable to install the transmitter separately.
5. The installation of guided wave radar and capacitive level gauges should also comply with the requirements of the manufacturer.
The above content is what we want to discuss aboutWhat requirements must be met when installing guided wave radar and capacitive level gauges, and we hope that after reading, everyone can have a general understanding of the installation of guided wave radar and capacitive level gauges.
