The main components and measurement principle of Rosemount pressure transmitters.
When it comes to Rosemount pressure transmitters, many frontline instrument operators are quite familiar with them. Rosemount pressure transmitters are often referred to as Rosemount differential pressure transmitters. In industrial life, they are one of the more common types of transmitter instruments. So, do you know what components make up a Rosemount pressure transmitter? What is its measurement principle? I wonder if everyone is aware of these basic questions? Today, the technical editor from Shaanxi Huibo Electromechanical will provide a thorough introduction to the basic knowledge of Rosemount pressure transmitters.

I wonder if everyone understands these basic questions? Today, the technical editor from Shaanxi Huibo Electromechanical will provide a thorough introduction to the basic knowledge of Rosemount pressure transmitters regarding these questions.
1. What are the main components of Rosemount pressure transmitters?
In simple terms, Rosemount pressure transmitters are mainly composed of modular circuits, pressure sensing elements, enclosures, display heads, and process connection components. They can be divided into general pressure transmitters (0.001MPa to 20MPa) and micro differential pressure transmitters (0 to 30kPa) based on the measurement range. They are designed to provide measurement, indication, and process control for secondary instruments such as alarm devices, recorders, and regulators by converting the pressure signals of liquids, gases, etc., into standardized current and voltage signals.
2. What is the measurement principle of Rosemount pressure transmitters?
The measurement principle of Rosemount pressure transmitters is as follows: the process pressure and reference pressure act on both ends of the integrated silicon pressure-sensitive element, and the differential pressure causes the silicon wafer to deform (the displacement is very small, only in the micrometer range), which allows the full dynamic Wheatstone bridge made with semiconductor technology on the silicon wafer to output a voltage signal in the millivolt range proportional to the pressure under the drive of an external current source. Due to the excellent rigidity of silicon material, the linearity and variation indicators of the output signal are very high. It can convert the received pressure signals of gases, liquids, etc., into standard current and voltage signals for secondary instruments such as indicating alarm devices, recorders, and regulators for measurement, indication, and process adjustment. During operation, the Rosemount pressure transmitter converts the measured physical quantity into a millivolt-level voltage signal and sends it to a differential amplifier with a high amplification factor that can mutually cancel temperature drift. The amplified signal is then converted into the corresponding current signal through voltage-to-current conversion, followed by nonlinear correction, ultimately producing a standard current and voltage signal that has a linear correspondence with the input pressure.
The above content introduces the components and measurement principles of Rosemount pressure transmitters. We hope that for any future questions regarding the common knowledge and technical issues of transmitters, you are welcome to consult us at any time.
