What are the specific steps for the installation and debugging of the Rosemount 3051 pressure transmitter?

When it comes to the Rosemount 3051 pressure transmitter, many friends who use instruments must have used or come into contact with it. With the high stability and high product performance of the 3051 pressure transmitter, it has been widely used in various industries in our country. Generally, after purchasing theRosemount 3051 pressure transmitterwe also need to install and debug the Rosemount 3051 pressure transmitter according to our actual working conditions. Today, the technical editor from Shaanxi Huibo Electromechanical will systematically introduce the specific steps for installing and debugging the Rosemount 3051 pressure transmitter.
Step 1: Install the Rosemount 3051 pressure transmitter. This content has been detailed in the article "Graphic Interpretation of How to Install the Rosemount 3051 Pressure Transmitter and Installation Requirements" so I won't elaborate further. If you don't know how to install it, you can click to view directly.
Step 2: Set the jumpers. If the alarm or write protection jumpers are not installed, the transmitter will operate in the default mode, with the alarm set to high and write protection set to off.
1. If the transmitter is already installed, ensure the safety of the circuit, then turn off the power.

2. Remove the cover on the side opposite the terminal block. Note: Do not disassemble the transmitter in a live explosive gas environment.
3. Reset the jumpers. Do not touch the wires and terminal blocks. Refer to the diagram below for the position of the jumpers and the ON and OFF positions.

4. Reinstall the transmitter cover. To meet explosion-proof requirements, the cover must be screwed down completely.
  Step 3: How to wire
Wiring steps: 1. Remove the electronic housing marked "FIELD TERMINALS".
2. Connect the positive wire to the "PWR/COMM+" terminal and the negative wire to the "–" terminal. Note that live signal wires must not be connected to the test terminals, as power will damage the test diodes in the test circuit. Shielded twisted pairs should be used for optimal measurement results. To ensure correct communication, use 24AWG or higher gauge cable, but do not exceed 5000 feet (1500 meters).
3. Seal any unused conduit connections on the transmitter housing with conduit plugs.
4. If possible, use a drip loop when installing the wiring. Ensure the bottom of the drip loop is lower than the conduit connection and the transmitter housing.
5. Reattach the cover. The diagram below shows the wiring for powering the 3051G transmitter and communicating with the HART handheld communicator.

Step 4: Set parameters:The diagram below shows the specific steps for setting parameters. Note that the parameters marked with a check (√) are the basic setting parameters. As part of the configuration and startup process, these parameters must be set.

Step 5: Range adjustment.Generally, the newly purchased 3051 pressure transmitters are calibrated according to user requirements or the default full scale.
Zero point correction
Zero point correction is a single-point adjustment method used to compensate for the effects of installation position. If the zero point offset does not exceed 3% of the actual zero point, follow the guidance below for "Using the HART handheld communicator"; if it exceeds 3%, follow the guidance below for "Using the transmitter's zero point adjustment button".

Quick steps for using the transmitter's zero point adjustment button
1. Loosen the screws on the explosion-proof label on the electronic housing, rotate the label to expose the zero point adjustment button.
2. Apply pressure to the transmitter, with the pressure value equal to the pressure corresponding to the 4mA output.
3. Press the zero point adjustment button for 2 seconds and check if the output changes to 4mA. Transmitters with a display will show "ZERO PASS".
After completing the zero point correction, the installation and debugging of our Rosemount 3051 pressure transmitter is basically complete. Through the introduction of the steps for installing and debugging the Rosemount 3051 pressure transmitter above, I believe instrument users have a clear understanding of the installation and debugging of the 3051 transmitter.
