What situations with the Rosemount transmitter require the user to bear the costs during maintenance?


After purchasing and using Rosemount transmitters, it is inevitable that some faults may occur during use. When our Rosemount transmitter malfunctions, we need to repair or replace it. As long as it is a quality issue with the product itself and within the warranty period, we can usually repair or replace it for free. The warranty period we usually refer to is the duration specified in the contract at the time of purchase, and the general warranty period for Rosemount transmitters is one year.
For repairs and replacements within the normal range, we need to first contact the dealer, purchaser, or manufacturer for a solution. If repairs are needed, the product must be sent to a designated location. When sending the product, we must inform them of the fault symptoms and the environmental conditions at the time of the fault, including model specifications and serial numbers, so that we can proceed with the repair or replacement.
If the following reasons cause a malfunction, the user will be responsible for the repair costs even within the warranty period.
1. Incorrect or inappropriate maintenance by the user (related to the product's project name).
2. The instrument was not operated, used, or stored correctly according to design requirements.
3. Malfunctions or damages caused by human actions.
4. The location of the transmitter does not meet the standards specified by Rosemount, or the installation location is incorrect, or faults or damages caused by modifications or maintenance performed by non-Rosemount or non-designated repair units.
5. Malfunctions or damages caused by incorrect installation of the instrument.
6. Damages caused by force majeure, such as fire, earthquake, heavy rain, flood, lightning, or other natural disasters, riots, wars, or radioactive contamination.
From the above, it is clear which faults of the Rosemount transmitter manufacturer in the United States are within the warranty range. If it is not within the manufacturer's warranty range, repairs can still be made, but the customer will need to bear the costs.
