The reasons for static pressure error in Rosemount differential pressure transmitters and the correction methods.

When using Rosemount differential pressure transmitters, there are times when static pressure errors occur. When faced with such issues, many instrument personnel may become flustered and unsure of how to resolve these problems. Below, the technical editor from Shaanxi Huibo Electromechanical has summarizedthe causes of static pressure errors in Rosemount differential pressure transmitters and their correction methods.

  1. Causes of static pressure errors in Rosemount differential pressure transmitters:
1. The main reason for this phenomenon is that the effective areas of the positive and negative pressure chamber diaphragms are different, which leads to a net force on the diaphragm that is not equal to zero. In this case, it is easy for the main lever position to shift, resulting in zero drift.
2. Rosemount differential pressure transmitters generally complete differential pressure scale verification in a state where the negative pressure chamber is vented to the atmosphere. However, during on-site operations, when performing actual static pressure zero calibration on the transmitter, there may be a discrepancy between the zero output during atmospheric calibration of the pressure chamber and the current zero output value, leading to static pressure errors.
  2. Correct methods for correcting static pressure errors in Rosemount differential pressure transmitters:
If static pressure errors occur in the differential pressure transmitter and are not corrected in time, it will cause errors in the overall measurement results. Below, we will introduce the correct methods for correcting static pressure errors.
1. For the three-valve assembly of the transmitter, one of the high and low pressure valves should be opened while the other is closed, and the balance valve should be in the open position.
2. If it is uncertain whether the positive and negative pressure chambers are filled with the measured medium, it can be resolved by venting or purging.
3. Inject the same static pressure into the positive and negative pressure chambers of the pressure transmitter simultaneously.
That concludes our discussion today onthe causes of static pressure errors in Rosemount differential pressure transmitters and their correction methods.I hope that through today's learning, our on-site instrument personnel will be able to correctly and skillfully address such issues in the future.
